Originally from the suburbs of Southern California, Kristen was raised to fear foraging. In her 30’s, she was increasingly drawn to connect with the natural world, mostly through wildcrafting. She started making wild medicines in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, where she lived in a little cabin in the forest with her two dogs. To shift her focus to wild edibles, she moved to Western North Carolina.
Kristen believes this is the perfect time for us to redefine what it means to be a modern human, to regain the wisdom and connection that we lost, and to merge it with our modern day advances to move forward toward a more beautiful, meaningful, and connected world.
