Safety and Tour Updates

3/26/20

We have extended our cancellations through May 15th.

For now, we have shifted our efforts into foraging wild produce for our local food pantry, Bounty and Soul. But we do miss seeing you in person! During this time that we need to stay physically apart, we are exploring new ways to stay connected. In the coming weeks, we will be launching new efforts to share foraging online.

If you are booked for a tour with us in this time period we can of course issue a full refund for your booking, but we ask that if you you are able, please allow us to hold a transferrable credit for you for a future tour. This will support us in our efforts to serve our local and wider community. We will be resuming tours as soon as it is safe to gather again. Thank you for your understanding and support, and for helping us to care for each other as best we can.

We are thankful for this time to think more creatively about how we reach people, in order to share these skills for self-sufficiency and also ways of living in harmony with and more lightly upon our ever-changing world. If you would like to support our small business during this time, please consider purchasing a gift card- we will be offering 25% off all gift cards for as long as tours are suspended. We believe that getting outside, especially in nature, is healthy for our bodies and spirits, and wild food is especially immune-boosting. Our groups are small (4-12 participants) and we are entirely outdoors.

For these reasons, we will continue to run our wild food tours, with some extra precautions. We also have private tours available and our ten-week courses are also still on schedule.

To make our tours safer for our guests, staff, and the community:

• We are designing the tour to allow people to stay spread out (at least 6 feet between groups).
• We are wiping down all shared equipment after each tour: basket handles, knives, etc., and have gloves and hand sanitizer available.
• Participants can take home what they gather themselves, but we are suspending the cooking portion of the tour and option restaurant component until further notice.

If, in the two weeks leading up to your booking, you have experienced any cold-like symptoms, respiratory issues, or fever (over 100°F), have been exposed to anyone with the virus, or have travelled to high-risk countries or areas of the US, please stay at home.

If you are already registered for a tour and meet any of the above criteria or are choosing to stay home at this time to limit exposure, we will gladly reschedule your visit with us, provide a gift credit, or issue a full refund.

We appreciate your support at this time in keeping everyone safe and continuing to share the healing power of nature. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
