Wild Food Stroll
Our wild food strolls are easy walks right on the grounds of The Omni Grove Park Inn.
On this woodland treasure hunt, you’ll meet at least half a dozen wild edibles, focusing on the most common plants and mushrooms you might find in your own woods or backyard. Then get ready for some find dining.
If you stay for dinner, you can enjoy the inn’s remarkable view of the sunset while the chef crafts a free appetizer featuring the edibles you met that afternoon. It’s a memorable lesson in high-class survival.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between the wild food stroll and the foraging tour?
The stroll is 5 minutes from downtown, not 15-45. It lasts half as long and is half the price, but we don’t actually forage and there is no cooking demo and tasting. Dinner, including an appetizer made with some of the wild foods you meet, is an option on site, but not at our other partner restaurants.
What should I wear?
For the foraging component, we recommend long pants, socks, and sturdy shoes.
What if it rains?
Tours are generally rain or shine. Check the forecast and dress appropriately. For last minute concerns, see our Contact Page.
