about 25 minutes east of downtown Asheville
From downtown Asheville, take I-240 about 3.5 miles to I-40 East.
Take I-40 eleven miles to exit 64 for Black Mountain. Turn left off the ramp onto Route 9 north. Go 3.5 miles, passing through the gate for Montreat. In another third of a mile, turn right onto Calvin Trail.
In another third of a mile, enter the campground and in about 50 yards, park at the bathrooms on the left. Your guide will meet you there.
