Kate Whichard

Kate grew up in Northeastern North Carolina. Around the age of eight, she was introduced to natural medicine by her mother and grandmother. She loved taking elderberry syrup and learning about different natural remedies.

Kate studied biology at UNC Wilmington with the dream of becoming a naturopathic doctor. She was working in the wellness department at the local co-op when she decided to take time off from school to study permaculture and holistic herbalism. She transferred to Warren Wilson College where she gained experience in commercial herbal medicine production.

Kate is passionate about connecting with the natural world and loves sharing this passion with others.
