30 minutes east of Asheville
From Asheville, take I-240E to I-40E toward Statesville. In 11 miles, take exit 64 for NC-9 toward Black Mountain/Montreat. Turn right onto NC-9 South. In 1.2 miles turn left onto Holly Road at the large “Christmount” sign, then stay straight. Pass a steep hill on the left with the stone and wooden office building (do not turn left yet), and a large dining hall on the right. Keep driving, looking for the swimming pool on the left, with a metal fence around it (across from a bright red building on the right). Turn left into that gravel parking lot, recognizable by the steep clay slope backdrop. Your guide will meet you there.
