Harrill Land Directions

Also make sure you have enough time to get there. We will be carpooling from here, so please be on time.

Our outing will be in Fairview, on the property of the Harrill family, about half an hour southeast of downtown Asheville. We meet on site. Do not rely on your GPS until you make sure it matches these directions or you will very likely get lost.  Also keep in mind that once you leave the interstate, you will probably NOT have cell phone signal. You may not have GPS reception either. So make sure you print or save these directions beforehand and follow them precisely.

These directions are from Greenlife Grocery (our local Whole Foods). We recommend buying snacks or even a picnic lunch for after the tour, as well as “using the facilities” while you’re there. There will be no bathroom on site (besides the woods).

Finally, if you’re planning to bring some of our “catch of the day” to one of our partner restaurants, you MUST make a special reservation (see here).

DIRECTIONS

134 Owenby Cove Rd, Fairview, NC 28730*

From Greenlife Grocery, take Merrimon Avenue toward downtown, then turn left to get onto 240E/US 70E. In 3.9 miles, keep right to stay on 240E. In .2 miles, continue onto US 74 East. Go 7.2 miles and take a slight left onto Village Road. Go .2 miles and turn left onto Garren Creek Road. Go 4.2 miles and turn right onto Owenby Cove Road. Go to just before where the paved road ends (at three gravel roads), which will be at #134 on the left. Pull over on the left. Do not park in the driveway. Do not go up to the house. We will be carpooling from here to the location, one mile away. Your guide will meet you on the road.
