Hannelore Berken was raised by a botanist mother and mushroom-hunter father in northeast Ohio, where her love and knowledge of all things wild- and passion for sharing that wisdom with others- first began. From there, Hannelore studied with herbalists & nature lovers in Ohio, Oregon, and right here in the heart of Asheville. She enjoys primitive skills (hand carving elegant spoons to eat your wild greens with, wool spinning, etc.) as well as singin’ folk songs with her saw & Appalachian dulcimer. She happily & whole-heartedly tries to nurture whatever land she steps foot on, and any way that she can facilitate a sustainable and warm connection between humankind and the beautiful planet we live on is fulfillment for her.
