Earthaven Guest Parking, Black Mountain, NC
45 minutes southeast of Asheville
From Asheville, take I-240E to I-40E toward Statesville. In 19.7 miles, take exit 73 for Old Fort.
Go 0.2 miles and make right (south) at stop sign onto Bat Cave Road. In 6.8 miles, this becomes Old Fort Rd. In another 1.7 miles (for a total of 8.5 miles), make a left onto Camp Elliot Road (there is a sign for “Asheville Academy”).
After turning onto Camp Elliott Road, go about a mile, passing Asheville Academy on the left. After the school, please reduce your speed to 15 mph. You will come to the end of the pavement where the road forks, with Full Circle Trail on the right and Another Way straight ahead through an open metal gate. Continue straight.
The Earthaven speed limit is 5 mph. Please drive carefully as children often run into the road.
Drive about half a mile. You will cross one bridge and pass signs saying “Campground” and “Village Center Parking.” Continue straight.
Just before a fork to the right and a bridge to the left, park in the gravel parking area on the left, across from a field. Your guide will meet you there.
