Ready to go wild? Experience what brings millions to Asheville every year — the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the vibrant food scene — with our unique forage-to-table tours.
We’ve been taking people “out to eat” for nearly 25 years. Led by expert guides, discover at least a dozen wild edibles, including ones you might find in your own backyard: greens, berries, mushrooms, flowers, roots, nuts… we never know what we might find! We gather a few and cook some up for a tasting. You can keep your foraged finds or have them crafted into an appetizer at an award-winning Asheville restaurant.
For a truly unique, 100% Asheville experience, join us off the eaten path. Tours average 10 participants and are family-friendly and suitable for all ages and abilities. Our introductory e-book is included, and all equipment is provided. Discover how fun, safe, easy, and delicious foraging can be!
Our guides are all experts in the field, including a former forager for over 75 restaurants, a naturopathic doctor, a board member of the North American Fruit Explorers, and an ethnobotanist with a master’s in Appalachian studies. For them, foraging is a way of life. With passion and precision, they make foraging safe and fun.

We had a wonderful adventure from morning to night, TripAdvisor
“Jillian was as knowledgeable as she was accommodating to our rambunctious 4 year old. She even got him to try some wood sorrel which is incredible since he’s such a fussy eater.”

“Justin was informative, engaged, and obviously very passionate and knowledgeable, which in turn made us more excited.”
