Alexa Layton

Two years ago, Alexa traded in the bustling city life for the bustling wild life among the trees and rivers of Southern Appalachia. Raised in a rural town outside of Chicago, she learned how to spot a morel in the springtime and identify an oak tree from her grandmother. She’s found solace and joy among plants and wilderness since childhood and studied the human-nature connection, or oftentimes disconnection, with a degree in Environmental Science and Education from UCSB.  Alexa resides North of Asheville where she enjoys making earth- and human-friendly body care products, dabbling in the musings of an herbalist, and tending to her sweet newborn baby girl.
