Smokies Wild Food Tour

Join No Taste Like Home and A Walk in the Woods, two premier nature tour companies with 40 years combined experience, as they lead you on a wild food safari in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Did you know:

  1. The Smokies are one of the most biodiverse regions on earth
  2. Visitors are permitted to gather mushrooms and berries for personal consumption

Let us take you “out to eat” — outside, that is. Together, we’ll wander through wood and meadow, filling our baskets. Then it’s “finders, eaters” as we craft our catch of the day into find dining. Wild mushroom pizza, paw paw pudding, thimbleberry sorbet… it all depends on what we find. It’s Survivor meets Iron Chef — and everybody wins.

Tours depart from Oconaluftee Visitor Center at 9:30 and return by 2:30. $100/adult, $40/child age 4-10, lunch included.

Available for groups of eight or more adults. To make a reservation, or for more information, call 828-209-8599.
