Alan Muskat, author of Wild Mushrooms: A Taste of Enchantment, has been foraging in the forests of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville for some twenty years. Today, he leads a first-of-its-kind tour into the mountains in search of culinary treasures. Running from April to October, his No Taste Like Home tour takes guests into the forest and teaches them how to safely identify wild plants, mushrooms, and unexpected edibles. After the tour, you can take your findings to one of the partnering local restaurants (like Zambra Tapas Restaurant and The Market Place) to have a pro prepare your findings to your liking for no extra charge.
