Doug Elliott's father used to say, “that boy knows what's under every rock between here and town.” Explorer, naturalist, and entertainer, Elliott has sought out traditional and indigenous wisdom from Northern Canada to the Caribbean. He has trained rangers for the National Park Service and led wilderness expeditions from the great woods of Maine to the Florida Everglades. A consummate musician, Elliott has been crowned harmonica champion at The Fiddler's Grove Festival. He has performed at the National Storytelling Festival, The Smithsonian, The American Museum of Natural History, and The Royal Ontario Museum. The author of four books, articles in regional and national magazines, and creator of several award-winning albums, Doug uncovers more than critters; he brings to light our part in this vibrant world.
